marist.facebook.com/group.php?gid=6521076286---------- SARATOGA SPRINGS -- A Schenectady County probation officer, a math teacher from the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District and a 22-year-old Greenfield man were arrested on drug charges over the weekend, according to police. The three were arrested about 3 a.m. Saturday near Putnam Street and Lena Lane after a brief foot chase by police. County probation officer Stephen A. Farina III, 30, of 1242 Viewmont Drive, Niskayuna, was charged with felony possession of cocaine as well as misdemeanor resisting arrest and unlawful possession of marijuana. Farina, who had worked for the county for less than a year, was terminated from his position Wednesday morning, said county Attorney Chris Gardner. Farina was briefly held at the Saratoga County Jail before posting bail, which had been set at $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to return to court Sept. 18. Bret C. Weise, of 1904 Baker Ave., Niskayuna, a mathematics teacher in the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District, was charged with misdemeanor criminal possession of a controlled substance. The district's Web site lists Weise as faculty member of the mathematics department. He was arraigned today in City Court. District officials expected to issue a statement. Robert P. Faith, 22, of 46 Wilton Road, Greenfield, was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, according to police. He is due back in court Aug. 21.
